Jalapeno Bacon Cheese Ball with pita chips.

Jalapeno Bacon Cheese Ball

Jalapeño Bacon Cheese Ball is loaded with cheese, bacon, and jalapeños. This is always the biggest hit at any party! I have had this secret obsession lately with jalapeños since I made this Jalapeno Cornbread.

I have always been a wuss when it comes to things that are spicy, so I have been afraid to always give anything with jalapeños a try. Boy have I been missing out! The cream cheese helps to cool down the jalapeños and gives it just enough of a kick to give it amazing flavor. This is a true holiday appetizer that is prefect for your holiday parties this season!

What You Need To Make A Jalapeño Bacon Cheese Ball

This Jalapeño Bacon Cheese Ball was hands down one of the best cheese balls I have ever had! All of the things that I loved about that dip were packed inside and out of this cheeseball. Cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, all came together to make this yummy cheese ball that you won’t be able to get enough of. Oh but let’s not forget the bacon! Everything’s better with bacon and this cheese ball not only had them inside, but it is rolled in bacon! This is the ultimate cheese ball and I know it will be a hit wherever you take it!

  • Cream cheese: softened
  • Jalapeños: seeded and finely chopped, divided
  • Cheddar cheese: shredded
  • Bacon: cooked and chopped, divided
  • Green onions: chopped
  • Seasoning salt: added seasoning
  • Garlic: minced
  • Worcestershire sauce: extra flavoring
  • Cumin: seasoning with a little earthy spice
  • Pecans: coarsely chopped

How to Make Jalapeño and Bacon Cheese Ball

A delicious cheese ball packed with bacon and jalapeños. The cream cheese cools down the jalapeños combining it all into one amazing cheeseball.

  1. Mix together the cheese ball: In a medium sized bowl, stir together cream cheese, half of the jalapeños, shredded cheddar cheese, half of the bacon, green onions, seasoning salt, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and cumin until fully incorporated.
  2. Coat the cheese ball: On a large plate combine other half of the bacon, jalapeños, and pecans. Shape the cream cheese mixture into a ball and roll it onto the plate to coat well.
  3. Chill and serve: Cover with saran wrap and chill for an hour before serving. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Forming A Cheese Ball

When rolling Cheese Balls I find it easiest to transfer the mixture onto a section of Saran Wrap. Next take and pull the corners together and twisting it to easily form a ball with minimal mess. Then by either cutting the wrap at the base of the twist, or by simply untwisting it to transfer it to a serving dish.

Tips on Making a Perfect Cheese Ball

  • Leave your cream cheese on the counter to soften. This will take about one hour leaving it in its container. Once your cream cheese feels cool to the touch then wait another 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Mix in different variations of ingredients: walnuts, sliced almonds, crushed crackers or Chex mix and candied pecans or other cheese variations.
  • When shredding cheese make sure to not use pre-shredded cheese. Pre-shredded cheese does not work well to stick to things.
  • Roll your cheese ball on the counter to help form the shape. Then finish shaping it with your hands.
  • Be sure to double to recipe for a larger party or make multiple smaller cheese balls for around the table.

Stirring up the ingredients into a luscious mixture.

What Goes with The Best Jalapeño Bacon Cheese Ball

Vegetables, crackers and bread are my go-to dipping food. They add some sweet, salty and the perfect texture when dipping into this jalapeño bacon cheese ball.

  • Bell peppers: all colors are great and sliced.
  • Bread: Usually a harder bread that is sliced and chunked.
  • Carrots: baby carrots are perfect for this.
  • Crackers: salty crackers are best.
  • Cucumbers: sliced in chunks
  • Pita chips: buy them by the bag
  • Pretzels: go with the bigger, flatter ones that are easier to dip.

Jalapeno Popper Dip

Jalapeno Popper Dip takes all the flavor of the popper and turns it into a creamy, cheesy, easy to eat dip. Super effortless and full of enticing flavors, this dip will be the star of the party!

Show up to your next party with this dip and it will be the star! Combine this with any of my other favorites like Insanely Delicious Hot Crab Dip, Loaded Creamy Ranch Dip or 5 Minute Million Dollar Dip. Now this is an appetizer line up if I ever saw one!

Creamy, spicy jalapeno dip with bread for dipping.

Jalapeño Popper Dip Recipe

Warm, creamy and cheesy with a crunchy buttery top, this dip is just about as perfect as they come! It has all the flavors you love from jalapeño poppers, but is so much easier to make and eat. Plus I’ll error on the side that it’s going to be a lot more popular too! It’s so addicting you’re going to want to eat the whole thing by yourself. It’s such a comfort food with its ooey goodness. Every time I take this dip somewhere I get asked for the recipe and it’s a quick favorite. So go ahead, make it for game night, movie night or just because night. Any time of the year is the right time to make this!

If you’re worried about the spice, don’t be. I’m not a huge jalapeño fan myself, but this was the perfect amount of heat to creaminess. The cheese helped to cool the spice and the spices and crumb topping meld it all together. And the bacon! Don’t forget the bacon, it adds the perfect bite of saltiness and hint of savory making this dip absolutely heavenly. This is such a great dip because you can make it an advance and keep it in the fridge till ready to bake. Seriously, you need to make this today!

Ingredients for Jalapeño Popper Dip with Bacon

  • Bacon: Because everything is better with bacon! Use a thick cut bacon so the savory salty flavor doesn’t get lost in the mix.
  • Cream Cheese: Creamy and velvety, full fat will melt best but low fat works too!
  • Mayonnaise: Make sure it’s not the salad dressing such as Miracle Whip, it’ll change everything. Not a fan of mayo, sub with sour cream.
  • Canned Diced jalapeños  You can substitute with 4 diced deseeded jalapeños, but I like the canned and I’ll explain further.
  • Mozzarella Cheese: This is such a perfect melty ooey gooey cheese.
  • Cheddar Cheese: Adds flavor, use medium cheddar for a nice good taste.
  • Green Onion: Gives a bit of color as well as nice bit of sharpness.

Creating a Crispy Topping

  • Ritz Crackers: Buttery and crunchy, these make the best topping.
  • Parmesan Cheese: More cheese!
  • Butter: Helps it all get nice and toasty.

How do You Make Easy Jalapeño Popper Dip

  1. Mix: In a medium sized mixing bowl, mix bacon, cream cheese, mayonnaise, jalapeños, mozzarella and cheddar cheese and green onion. Stir till combined and spread in a 1-1/2 quart casserole dish.
  2. Topping: In a small separate bowl combine the crushed ritz crackers, parmesan cheese and melted butter. Spread evenly over the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F, for 20-30 min till the top begins to brown and the edges start to bubble. Serve warm.

All About Jalapeños

When you look at similar recipes like Jalapeno Bacon Cheese Ball or Cheesy Hot Corn Dip you’ll notice I use Fresh jalapeños, but not in this recipe and I’ll tell you why. But first, if fresh is what you’d like to use, then do it! It’ll still taste amazing. I just prefer the canned version for some recipes like this Must Try Jalapeno Artichoke Dip.

  • Unlike the fresh jalapeños, the canned version gives you a consistent spice all the way through. I don’t have to wonder if my fresh are spicy or bland, which can happen.
  • They are already cut, deseeded and ready to go. That’s a really good reason! Fast and no worries about getting the juices on my skin or in my eyes.
  • Canned Jalapenos are actually pickled which adds beautiful tang to this creamy dip.
  • In this dip I love how everything is so smooth and creamy, using the jarred jalapeños means they’re soft too. This way you won’t have any crunchy peppers to disrupt the creamy lusciousness.
  • If you do use fresh, the spice is in the seeds so take out or leave in the seeds to your level of heat.

Tips For the Best Dip

There are a few things to keep in mind about this amazing jalapeño popper dip when serving, to make sure it’s as awesome as can be. Are you prepared for what’s about to happen? Truly, because this dip is going to blow everyone away.

  • Hot: This dip is best served warm. If you are taking it somewhere you’ll want to make sure you can serve it and keep it warm as long as possible.
  • Crockpot:  Because you want to serve it warm, it can easily be made in the crock pot. Mix everything together except the topping and place in the crockpot. Cook on low for 3-4 hours. Before serving, mix the crackers and butter and toast in a pan. Sprinkle over the top along with the parmesan cheese.
  • Spicy: This is the perfect balance of spice in my opinion. If you love the spice you can always add more jalapeños.

What to Dip in Jalapeño Popper Dip

You can serve this with a variety of foods. It goes great with crackers, pretzel thins, pita chips,  tortilla chips, baguettes sliced, or crostini. It will even go well with veggies like carrots, celery, peppers, sugar snap peas and tomatoes. YUM!

Can You Make Jalapeño Popper Dip Ahead of Time?

Yes! This is a great dip that can be made ahead of time or the day of. Perfect for game night, party time and holiday events! Get ready to have the best Jalapeno Popper Dip recipe!

  • Make Ahead: You can totally make this ahead of time which can be a huge time saver. Mix as directed and cover tightly with foil and refrigerate for up to 3 days. You’ll need to add about 5-10 minutes of cooking time to make sure it’s heated through.
  • Leftovers:  Jalapeno Popper Dip will keep in the fridge for 4 days. I don’t recommend freezing it, dairy doesn’t tend to reheat well when frozen. It can separate. Try thinning the leftovers with a little bit of milk and serve over rice or pasta with a protein of your choice. So yummy!

Crispy Parmesan Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts

Crispy Parmesan Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts are super easy, packed with flavor and have tasty golden crunch. This is going to be one of the best ways to get your kids to say “More Please!” when it comes to their veggies. These are just that good!

Brussel Sprouts are so fun to eat, especially when you have an incredible recipe to use them in.  Try them in these Awesome Bacon Wrapped Brussel Sprouts, Apple Bacon Brussel Sprout Salad and Roasted Maple Brussel Sprouts.

Crispy, parmesan crusted brussel sprouts in the air fryer.

Brussel Sprouts Air Fryer

These are not your grandma’s brussel sprouts! Trust me! Cooking them in the air fryer creates a tender inside and the coating gives it a bursting with flavor crunchy golden crust. These are so good! It will change the way you see brussel sprouts forever.

It’s so easy and quick. Using an Air Fryer cuts the cooking time in half and makes it so much healthier because you can use less oil. Now you can get all the nutrition without choking them down. These are a perfect side dish for any meal, from spaghetti to fish to steak. Make these part of your side dish rotation.

What is an Air Fryer?

Air Fryers are a countertop appliance similar to a convection oven in that it circulates hot air to cook food. This process produces a crispy product without the added oil or extra calories of deep fat frying. It cooks at a high speed so it cooks faster than a convection or regular oven as well. It’s compact and won’t heat your whole kitchen either. It won’t sacrifice flavor even though it slashes fat and calories. It’s a total win.

Parmesan Brussels Sprout Recipe

  • Brussel Sprouts: Cut the brussel sprouts in half
  • Olive Oil: This is just to help the coating adhere to the sprouts
  • Salt and Pepper: Just to taste
  • Parmesan Cheese: Use grated parmesan for best results
  • Panko Bread Crumbs: Panko is light and crisps nicely
  • Italian Seasoning: The perfect flavor to go with the cheese

Making Brussels Sprouts in the Air Fryer

  1. Combine: In a bowl combine the sprouts, oil and salt and pepper, toss gently to coat
  2. Mix: In a separate bowl mix together the parmesan cheese, panko, and italian seasoning. Sprinkle half of the mixture on the brussel sprouts and toss.
  3. Cook: Place the sprouts in the an even layer in the basket of your air fryer. Cook at 390 for 5 minutes. Open the fryer and toss the brussel sprouts with the rest of the topping. cook for an additional 5 min. till golden brown and tender.

Coating the brussel sprouts with parmesan and seasonings.

Benefits of Brussels Sprouts

Brussels sprouts are part of the vegetable family that includes broccoli and cabbage, a cruciferous veggie. I personally love that they look like mini cabbage heads, they’re kinda cute. They are a super power house food with their high contents of vitamin C, and K and other minerals. They are best known for the high antioxidant compounds. Antioxidants reduce the oxidative stress in your cells and helps lower your risk of chronic disease.  So grab a bag of brussel sprouts and eat up to your health! The flavors brought on from roasting can be described as savory, slightly nutty, and even a tad sweet – especially the smaller sized sprouts.

Parmesan coated Brussel Sprouts in the air fryer.

Tips and Variations for the Best Air Fried Vegetables

  • Seasoning: You can change up the seasoning for whatever your craving. Try cajun, mexican, spicy, or indian inspired spices to change up the flavor. It’s so versatile and easy to do.
  • Don’t Crowd: The best tip for any food coming out perfectly from your air fryer is to make sure they have space around them, don’t over crowd, if you need to work in batches.
  • Double: This is super easy to double for a crowd, again just work in batches.
  • Toss: After cooking you can toss with more cheese if you desire
  • Bread Crumbs: Panko or breadcrumbs work well in this recipe. You can ramp up the flavor with seasoned bread crumbs too.
  • Storing: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 1-2 min, just till heated through, to restore their crispiness. It won’t be exactly the same but it should help.

Fluffy, soft, perfect scrambled eggs.

Perfect Scrambled Eggs

Scrambled eggs are one of the easiest and quickest complete proteins out there. I’ve used them in a pinch for not just breakfast but lunch and dinner too. It’s the perfect answer for that dreaded question “What’s for dinner?” On those days where you’re lucky to have made it to dinner time at all, let alone know what to eat, grab eggs and you’ve got it made! They are so versatile you can do so many things with them!

You can rest easy knowing you’re giving your family and loved ones a nutritional meal when you serve eggs. Did you know that one egg has only 75 calories and 7 grams of high-quality protein. With only 1.6 grams of saturated fat and iron, vitamins, minerals and carotenoids, they are a powerhouse of disease-fighting nutrients. Including lutein and zeaxanthin. So heat up the pan, it’s time to have some eggs!

Fluffy Scrambled Egg Ingredients

Pretty simple ingredients. Super easy and quick to mix together!

  • Butter: Just enough to help it not stick to the pan and impart a little bit of flavor.
  • Eggs: This recipe uses 4 Large eggs
  • Milk: Can substitute out with water
  • Salt and Pepper: Add to your tastes

Let’s Make Scrambled Eggs!

It may take a little bit longer than you thought but, trust me, it’s worth the wait for these perfect delicate eggs! Add a side of bacon and this is the perfect breakfast!

  1. Melt: In a non stick skillet over medium low heat melt the butter
  2. Whisk: In a small bowl whisk together the eggs and milk.
  3. Pour: Once the butter has melted pour the egg mixture in the pan. Wait until you see a thin layer of egg cooking around the edges. Using a rubber spatula, move the eggs around the pan until they look fluffy and soft. Remove from heat when they look soft and slightly runny.
  4. Serve: Salt and pepper to your taste, top with chives if you desire and serve immediately.

Making the best scrambled eggs with milk and on medium low heat.

Tips for the Best Egg Breakfast

  • Whisk: This is a critical step, don’t under do it. Ditch the fork and cereal bowl and get a good sized bowl and whisk. Beat the eggs till all the yolks and whites are totally combined with no globby steaks. It should be light and airy. Whisk it will whip that air into the eggs to help them be fluffy and soft.
  • Eggs: What ever you buy and wherever you buy your eggs, get good quality eggs, it matters.
  • Seasoning: Wait till after you cook the eggs to season them with salt and pepper. Adding it in the beginning draws out the moisture in the eggs, making them watery.
  • Milk: Without the fat in dairy added to the eggs can be very, easy to over cook. The milk results in creamy, moist and softer eggs than if you left it out.
  • Secret Cooking Method: Remember it’s low and slow!! Don’t get in a hurry. The pan should be low enough that when the eggs are poured in, nothing happens. No sizzling. Trust me.
  • Wait: You have to wait till that thin layer of cooked egg begins on the edges before you stirring.
  • Stir: A rubber or silicone spatula is a must. The flexibility of the spatula allows you to hug the contours of the pan and get a really clean swipe/fold each time you push the eggs around.
  • Remove: Make sure to remove from the pan when you still think they’re a bit too wet. They’ll continue to cook once removed.

What Can You Do With Eggs Scrambled?

Eggs can be a dish of its own or add it to create more breakfast, lunch or dinner ideas! Try these delicious egg recipes for more ways to enjoy your scrambled eggs.
